Lighting retrofit that delivers 20% more lighting for 20% less dollars and requires no new electrical parts, such as bulbs, controls or ballasts. Not even new fixtures.
It’s like a rope trick, except there is no trick, just ropes.

Lighting intensity decreases in reverse proportion to the distance from the source squared. Therefore, it distance is decreased from 6m to 5m, intensity will increase by 36/25=1.44.

Lowering fixtures from 6m to 5m increases lighting level by 1.44x

In practical terms this means that 2 out of every 3 bulbs will provide almost the same amount of light from the lower fixture.

Taking every 4th bulb out will increase intensity by 20% and decrease cost. Just do the math.

No trick at all. Photo shows how it has been done at Dollarama.
