We can assist you in creating a business plan for your project and conduct a property assessment to clarify the financial and technical potential of your property.Result of such assessment, signed by an Ontario P.Eng, must be included in FIT2.0 contract application.
If required, we can assist in arranging financing the project in the form of debt, equity or even grants.
Once you are ready to start your project, we can help you prepare a OPA FIT application.According to FIT 2.0 rules applications will be processed based on a point system: projects with more points will receive contracts first. We will help you form the project in way to secure most points.
We can also help you procure developer services through a transparent and well documented (auditable in terms of public procurement) developer selection process at this stage, but would recommend postponing this step until you receive your FIT contract.
Typically the decision to go ahead would already be made at this point and a full project assessment would not be required, however your project may still require a comprehensive financial assessment, which we would be happy to conduct.
We can also help you finance your project and choose a developer if you have not already done so, as well as complete any required applications (CEPP grant, LDC, etc.). If you have already selected a developer, we can act as your technical advisor for the duration of the project.
For groundmount projects, we can help you get your project shovel ready, the major component of which is receiving the Renewable Energy Approval (REA).
Leasing your roof for installation of a solar system is a long term commitment for cooperation: owner receives lease payments for accepting risks and limitations resulting from roof use.
If you choose this option, we can help select a developer, who will bring the best financial returns while minimizing the owner's risks.
If you already own a solar PV system, we can help you find a maintenance contractor or install a monitoring system that would allow you to track your production. More importantly, we can conduct system performance validation to find out if your system delivers on developer's promise or requires maintenance.
If by any reason you decide to sell your project, we can prepare a 3rd party system valuation report and assist you through the sale process.
