Getting Started Heading

As part of our commitment to promotion of green business solutions we invite interested companies to acquaint themselves with the basics of solar photovoltaic technology by looking through our presentation. This presentation concentrates on opportunities offered by Ontario FIT 2.0 program, more technical data is presented in Solar PV Basics.

We can deliver this presentation through a webinar as well.

The presentation covers the following topics:

  • Ontario FIT 2.0 program
  • Stages of rooftop solar PV project development
  • Feasibility study and what questions it should answer
  • Economics of a rooftop solar PV system
  • Solar rooftop project risks

The presentation is not a course on Solar PV, nor is it investment advice; it is rather an overview of solar PV technology and opportunities offered by the Ontario FIT program.

Do you know about CEPP program?

Community Energy Partnership Program (CEPP) was established at the same time as the FIT program as part of the Renewable Energy Act 2009. The program provides grants that cover 90% of the soft costs for a renewable energy project. This means that hiring a consultant such as GreenQ Partners to help you manage your project will cost you a mere fraction of the real cost.

To qualify for a CEPP grant you must:

  • be an Ontario resident, or your company has to be owned by Ontario residents
  • the project has to qualify for the FIT program
  • the project has to be economically viable

Eligibility criteria on the CEPP site.
